TERRORISM BY MULLAH OBASANJO AND HIS sponsors

When Lugard amalgamated Northern Nigeria and Southern Nigeria in 1914, it
might have seemed to him that he was lumping together in the same
administration, groups of incompatible peoples. Wrote Michael Crowder a Cambridge
historian whose ancestors created Nigeria. Again more than forty years later; Lady Thatcher , a former British Prime Minister, whose predecessors in office created Nigeriaand granted it independence visited Nigeria; she took one look at it; then wrote : It is never easy to govern a country like Nigeria. It is somewhat artificially created ; divided between
Muslim North and Christian and Pagan South. That division has continued; and
it has become hardened and utterly aggravated ; as the Islamic Northerners
have converted the country to an Islamic nation with all its accompaniments
including Sharia, Jihad police, fatwa and Muslim Banks. Aided by their
highly disciplined, united and powerful religion of Islam, the Islamic North
forcibly holds together the various tribes comprising Nigeria; and Mullah
Obasanjo is their disciple. And they perch upon the wholly Christian Niger
Delta, like dangerous predators. Mullah Obasanjo has ruled the country for a period much longer than any other person; albeit, he has always done so, by the direct sponsorship and
power of the Islamic North. In fact Obasanjo knows quite well that he is
acting as a FRONT for the Islamic North. In this regard, although he knows
that Nigeriacan never be a normal nation to the extent that its peoples can
ever enjoy the degree of peace required for advancement; he is wilfully
blind; and he pretends that the country is normal. Very often, he acts like
an adult who possesses the brain of a child. The North’s Islamic agenda
which was dormant all through the 46 years of colonial rule, sprang up after
independence and assumed greater vivacity after May 1999, when Mullah
Obasanjo became President by their sponsorship. From September that year,
one after the other ,the whole of the Islamic fourteen states declared
Sharia one after the other, as each of them killed Southerners in their
thousands, burnt down their churches , their schools and their homes besides
driving away thousands of them. Then they established their own special
police system that is not available elsewhere in the country. The police
system includes the notorious Jihad Police. They kill with impunity, and
they are intolerable to non Islam. They proclaimed fatwa on an Igbo young
lady journalist, Isioma Daniel, for writing what they said their religion
object to. She could not have the protection like Salmon Rushdie had in Great Britain. In Nigeria she had to hide herself until she was lucky to be whisked out of the country by a kind American family. Then again they caught young Chris Anyawu, a news paper editor and jailed her for fifteen years. There are several instances like that. Young men and women from the Christian South are being destroyed; sometimes through assassination, at
other times through judicial processes of treason charges ~ always Southern
youths only. These are the type of pains suffered for being in a sort of the
same country with strange fellows.
Even before the proclamation of Sharia in 1999, General Babangida, the then
military dictator, had in 1988 registered the whole country, Nigeria, an
Islamic nation. Some Southerners who protested over the incident, were
slaughtered. Then there was silence. Now each year a large slice of the
country’s revenue is paid to the Islamic World organisation. What the
country get from this, favours only the Islamic Sharia states.
While Obasanjo’s courts are still holding several young Southerners in jail
for treason, Mallam Shekaru, head of Jihad police in the Islamic state of Kano, is spitting fire and describing the Federal government’s warning for
reduction of the powers of the Sharia police, as unacceptable to the people
of Kanostate. Then came the notorious February Islamic demonstrations in
several parts of the world over a cartoon in a Denmark. Despite the violent
nature of the demonstrations, no one was reported killed besides in the
Islamic states of Nigeria. There in Maiduguri, Sokoto, Kano, Bornuand
everywhere the demonstrators used the occasion to kill Southerners living
among them. More than sixty Christians including their priests were
slaughtered in Bornualone. There a Catholic priest was rapped in an
American flag and set on fire as his morbid killers danced around the
burning body. Elsewhere in the Islamic North more than three hundred were
reported killed. Several properties including churches were set ablaze. In
other parts of the world, several thousands demonstrated with violent
protests, yet no one was reported killed. It was in the Islamic North alone
that many were killed. They are extremely bitter against the South. What is
their reason. Some in the South think that it is the lack of skill, and
lack of educational ambition, and lack of things that make people joyful
such as dances and music of all types. But none knows the real reasons. So
we must separate. In Nigeria, the Islamic North is not only powerful, they are also extremely arrogant. You can understand how powerful they are, when you realise that
all the 36 states in the country were created by them. They were all created
arbitrarily ; and in the same way as God Almighty created the world, just by
proclamation. It is the Islamic North that created all the local
governments; and they made them in such a way that they created more in the
North. They fiddles population of each state and each local government to
enable the Northern states get more money through Revenue Allocation which
they also created. No one but themselves alone, and their sponsor Mullah
Obasanjo, has ever ruled the country. He did not create any state or local
government or any other significant object. But his regime killed more than
any other regime in the country. It also created Kangaroo courts which
jailed only Southerners. It was his regime that sacked Southern public
officers in the attempt to overcome the imbalance in the public services.
The imbalance was due to the fact that Northerners rejected Christian
education; and in consequence at independence, they comprised less than four
percent in the public services of the country. All the evidence in respect
of Mullah Obasanjo’s evil deeds are still fresh.
The Islamic North discovered the bloody Mullah in 1966. At independence in
1960, the colonial government had transferred power to the exclusive
Northern political party formed for them by British colonial officers. It
was called Northern Peoples Congress, N.P.C. with Balewa as Prime Minister.
Six years later on the 15th of January, Southern troops staged a coup and
wiped out the Northern leaders and their Southern collaborators . Almost
the whole of the South acclaimed the coup. Only a handful of Southerners did
not. These included Major Obasanjo, as he then was. That impressed the
North. Later in July that same year, Northerners staged a counter coup.
They slaughtered thousands of Southerners and threatened to secede; but they
did not. Instead, they formed a military government. Then the civil war
followed. It was during this time that they discovered Obasanjo as being the
one Southerner that adores them. Since then he has been the one and only
Southerner they have trusted. Gowon had him in his cabinet.
Then disloyally, he ganged up with the semi insane Murtala Mohammed and
ousted Gowon in a bloodless coup in 1975. Then he joined the North and
fought Dimka who assassinated Murtala. All these impressed the Islamic
North and they appointed him to succeed Murtala. His regime was the worst
ever that abused Human Rights. It created kangaroo courts that jailed
thousands of Southerners. He supported Murtala’s programme for bridging the
imbalance between Northerners and Southerners in the public services. By
this their regime sacked thousands of senior Southern officers in the public
services which included the Railways and the Electricity Corporations The
regime created Special Courts that killed people without due judicial
processes. He helped Murtala to remove the capital from Lagos in the South
to a disease infected Abujawhich several Southerners refused to go to for a
long time. In 1979 the Northern Military made Obasanjo to hand over to a
civilian government headed by one of them. He was Shehu Shagari, who looked
as dull and insipid in speaking as in acting. Mullah Obasanjo served the
Northern Military well. Still later, Abacha found him disloyal and sentenced
him to death, on an allegation that he was acting against their interest. No
one in Nigeriafelt sorry for him. An Ibadanbased News paper wrote. Olorun
Moo in Yoruba meaning God has caught him. But he was not properly caught,
for, abroad Human Rights leaders helped him and the sentence of death was
commuted to jail terms. He has never supported separation by any group. He
is a Yoruba of the South, but he has never been their choice for any office.
After the Abiola’s debacle, the Yorubas planned secession. That frightened
the Islamic North. Then Abacha who had put Obasanjo to jail died in a
mysterious way. The Islamic North still feared Yoruba secession; but they
did not like to put Abiola up for election as president. That would amount
to a loss of face to them. Yet they though that a Yoruba man as president
would appease the Yorubas. Obasanjo then still in jail came to their mind.
Later he became their choice. Then they got him out of prison. Soon he
received wind of their plot. Now he decided to impress them. He made a
statement that Abiola is not the Messiah. That worked. Soon after that
Abiola died in a Mysterious way. His followers included some of the best
brains with conscience among the Yoruba elite. Up to this day, they are
still interpreting and looking for the ghost behind Abiola’s sudden death.
Anyway, after Abiola’s death, it became easier for the North to put Obasanjo
forward as President. They are so powerful that any one whom they sponsored
would win .In the first place, all candidates for election were vetted by
the Military. As I have said before, the Islamic North get their discipline
and their power through their highly motivated religion in which every one
supports the other when the issue is not within members of the religion. And
their religion encourages them by the support they enjoy in the World Wide
Muslim brotherhood. Probably, for all these, the South envy them.
The South comprises three groups. These are Yorubas numbering at least 20
million. Then Igbos,numbering about twenty million as well. And the Niger
Delta numbering about 18 million. More than eighty percent in each group
support separation. Of this more than 60 percent are afraid in each of the
groups. Many fear because of the failure of Biafra. It has not been easy to
explain to them that Biafrafailed because not all that was supposed to be
in Biafrasupported it. But this was due to the fact that Biafran leaders
did not call for a referendum. They relied on fighting power alone. Then
again Gowon created his twelve states that deceitfully impressed the peoples
of the Eastern Niger Delta who the colonial government put in the same
Region .with the Igbos. The liberal world seemed then liked to give Nigeria
a chance. Now every thing is different. Every one in the world has realised
that Nigeriacannot work. It is a fake, and it is artificially created. In
1966 even the Igbos did not emphasize on its reckless creation. They
depended heavily on military power. But today the situation is different.
The whole world have realised that the several incompatible tribes forcibly
held together cannot live in peace. They have known of the horrible manner
in which we were all cobbled together. And that it cannot work. Nigeriais like a trap, and a monster that kills its own peoples. More than 6 million have emigrated during the last ten years. And millions more are struggling to emigrate. It is a hopeless place known to every one as a monster. Among its people held together by force there is the survival of
the fittest, and the Islamic North is the fittest on account of the
brotherhood of that religion; at a time when Christianity is becoming more
and more irrelevant, even from where it came to us. We cannot continue to
waste our lives. The time is ripe for separating from Nigeria. We must unite
and cooperate with every group wanting separation. You don’t need to like a
person in order to join him to fight a cause that is beneficial to you. Let
all of us work in cooperation and achieve what we want. Then all of us in
the South, that is ~ Niger Delta, Igbo and Yoruba, each a nation in itself,
that will cooperate like the European Union in which the citizen of every
country enjoys the right to live and work in any of the member countries.
Then other countries with similar outlook will join out of their own
volition. There will be no force at all. That means no community or tribe
will be forced into the Blessed Niger Delta. This is exactly what we are
working for. Freedom is priceless. It is the only thing that will enable any
African community to develop. We of the N.D.R.M. will fight and achieve it
for our people and our generations to come. We pray for God’s guidance.
